I'm surprised no one else did it sooner.
If you're willing to second an amendment to try to stop sitting members changing seats to keep voting records up I'll be happy to CC you in on it.

As of now, I will be occupying seat 43 and cBay will be occupying seat 45. No need for usergroup changes.
    OK.

Yea ive never missed a vote in all my time in mhoc, but it did cross my mind as something we could do if/when kieran returned and took back his seat. A bit of a loophole yes, which probably needs to be closed, but theres no reason we cant use it whilst it exists.
I would like to remind members that the seat number system is not codified at all, and I could run reviews in the old way by user should I so wish.

I would strongly approve if the speaker chose to ignore TDA and punish the Socialists for their action (or rather inaction).

On a separate note i've been somewhat impressed with you guys over the last term or so, stop polluting yourselves with dual members and get somebody pure in the seat. Avoiding a vote review warning is not impressive however.

What action would that be that needs to be punished?

Ignoring their self selecting of seat numbers and therefore probably putting them on watch in the review.

On what grounds do you suggest the speaker has legitimacy to do such a thing? The speaker's powers are enumerated by, and limited to those in the constitution (and therefore the GD).

I've also suggested that should the party wish to, they should VoNC me. However, that seems unlikely given, as you can clearly tell, it is not exactly easy for us to fill seats with active members, and I am still an active member of the socialists.

Regardless, I thank you for your opinion.

I've seen your post, but I remind the House that that is a deliberate loophole. No punishable actions have taken place.

It is a deliberate loophole purely because somebody decided to allocate people to seats and do it by seat, allowing a member to move from one seat to another, indeed the convention until that point was that a member was fixed to a seat unless they were no longer an MP come the review; it was a measure of the MPs and not the ability of the party to shift members from one seat to another.

But under the old system an MP could be replaced and the record of the previous holder of that seat was completely forgotten.

If there is support for a return to that system then I am happy to do it starting from after the next review.

Depending on how the current amendment goes I may draft a slightly simpler one.

Why is it that socialists believe in magic? That governments can provide a free lunch? - whereby somehow government can provide goods and services to people without the cost to people either by printing money or by taxing corporations? Surely socialists have irrational thinking and do not know basic economics. They have their heart in the right place but their mind in the wrong. They're people with very good intentions and I pity their ignorance.

Why do socialists think the minimum wage actually helps the poor economically instead of making them worse off?

basically, from what I've seen in this thread and the Liberal party one, you seem to be somebody with the mind of an angry 14-year old who read about supply and demand on a tin of beans or something, and became absolutely convinced that full-blown libertarianism was the solution to everything (you might even be an ancap lol)

the answer to your questions is to read more, markets don't work like you think they do, especially labour markets. Your models are far too simple. Consider alternative incentives.

Going for all out personal attacks and you want to be taken seriously? I knew it was dangerous coming on this thread but I'd hoped to find intelligent life that would welcome questions, hence the title.

Not so much a personal attack as an observation. Am I or am I not right that you are a right-libertarian extremist?

The fact remains that you're not capable of having an intellectual debate and resort to insults which is why you won't be taken seriously by anyone in politics. We're here to deliberate, not attack eachother for holding different beliefs. I read a lot of books and you come across as spurious by asserting that others are wrong and you're pontificating
