Socialists: what are your views towards Public transport? Specifically the rail network services and the 3rd runway?
We have a longstanding commitment to a publicly owned railway system - something recent inflation-busting fare rises only reinforces.

As for the third runway, we don't have an official position at the minute. Some of us are for it, some of us aren't, some of us don't mind.

Hold on, you seem confused - are we talking about the HoC or real life?
The TSR HoC - setting 50 regional areas which elect one member wouldnt work, due to the chances we'll get at top 8 or 9 seats. Thats why I think the TSR system works for this website.

What are the Socialists' views on PFI deals?

And do they like Texas bbq pizzas from Domino's?

Double Pepperoni > Texas BBQ (although both are actually signs of capitalist oppression of the working classes).

I don't think we're fond of PFIs, in general.

How is it that I get asked a question about inactive parties which then causes a multi page debate and the Socialists get asked what their favourite pizza is?

Isnt it just an dream though? Humanity's selfish desire for possessions and freedom means that there will never be a proletarian revolution and a general class war let alone the creation of a communist society.

I personally love the idea of communism, In the same way I love the idea of anarchy. I just don't believe either are viable options in the real world.

Sorry, but don't you do a Politics degree? Don't they teach you... more than that silly rhetoric? Communism says nothing about humanity's selfish desire for stuff, and emancipating people was one of the biggest things Marx advocated.

That was the point, communism isnt about selfish desires for stuff, its that which prevents a communist society from forming. Also I wasnt talking about equality, I was talking about freedom of the individual over the state, if a state has a tight control of the economy then the individual isnt free. Why do u always misunderstand what I say?, I dont write that badly.

Eaxctly, this is why no communists want to abolish money all together. Because, if you think about it, no currency would result in the perfect society for communism.

I'm afraid it's you who's misunderstanding me here. I'm saying that the idea a communist society would be completely altruistic is a false one. Obviously, people would have to be more responsible to their peers in a communist society than a capitalist one, and there'd be no trampling over other people to get more for yourself, but is this necessarily a bad thing?

Also I wasnt talking about equality, I was talking about freedom of the individual over the state, if a state has a tight control of the economy then the individual isnt free. Why do u always misunderstand what I say?, I dont write that badly.
Who said anything about the state?
