How to appy for student finance?

I heard the deadline for student finance is today so I am a bit worried the fact that I might not get my loan on time.
So I think I have just now created an account with student finance.
But then is the parent suppose to fill in a support a student application?
And do they do this after they have filled in their household incomes and all that stuff that was sent to them by email?
Also, what else do you have to do?
Any guidance most appreciated!
