When we were supposed to be applying to sixth form I only applied to one because I was certain that, that was the one I wanted to go to and if I worked hard enough I would get their grade requirements. However I've done half of my GCSE and I know that i have not got their grade requirements and despite that I completely do not want to go anymore as they dropped one of the main a levels I wanted to take. Therefore could someone please give me some advice on what to do because the applications for other sixth forms with lower grade requirements and that do all the a levels I want to take are closed. How am I going to get into sixth form if I have not applied to any except the one i won't be going to.

Call up the colleges, not all the students are going to pass through sadly so recommend asking for like a secondary spot so if anyone can't take the course you're next in line

State school-sixth forms are legally required to provide you with an education. If you didn't get into a selective sixth form, contact admissions at your closest school and ask to apply late.

I'd wait it out if the issue is with grades, some schools are known to make exceptions still, but a lot of them can be quite lenient, especially if you're internal.

Otherwise, I'd leave it to the school to help guide you to the next path, since they're legally obliged to make sure you're in some sort of education, apprenticeship, or work after you leave school.
