Hi I’m doing those same topics!
In the past on Othello they have asked about love and despising, Emilia and Desdemona in the As paper and marriage from a male point of view. So maybe it could be on infidelity or passionate love, something they haven’t touched on in the yet.
For Gatsby I’m really hoping for a question that can be centred around Myrtle and Tom, but recent questions have been about: Desire, romantic commitment, passion and barriers to love. So whilst they are quite broad topics they could ask on pure love or the opposite, so love as destructive force.
These are just guesses based on what’s been done, but I think with such vast topic questions it’s not easy to narrow down revision to a few a estimates.
Good luck!

My teacher said that he thinks presentation of women in othello is a possibility which would be quite good. That's probably totally inaccurate though 😂

Does anyone know if we’re allowed to fold pages of the novels that we bring (obviously a clean copy without any notes) for the open book section (for me it’s Gatsby). Not sure if folding a corner of a page would be classed as cheating or not😂
