Does anyone know how to work out the median and mean on a histogram?
By median I don't mean the interval I mean the estimation questions.

Median
At A level you would learn techniques to interpolate a median. Histograms show data through the area of the bars. At gcse you usually just need to add up the areas of bars and find the point within one bar that ensures half of the total area is below and half is above the value
Mean
You can use the same methods to estimate a mean from histograms that you would use for data in a grouped frequency table. Calculate frequency x midpoint for each bar, total them up and them divide by the total frequency.

Yes it is a GCSE topic and one of the worst understood GCSE topics. Try watching this video and ask questions here if you don't understand any part of it.
