I need a student bank account but I'm under 18

I have just received a letter from student finance England saying that I need to give them my bank details, but that is impossible. My birthday is in July, and I won't be 18 until then, therefore I can't open a student bank account with most banks, including Santander where I want to open one. I'm not sure if I can give them my current bank details and then transfer the money or what. the letter says I need to do it now, so i really need HELP!!!

We do not require you to hold a student bank account, any bank account which accepts direct credits is fine for us.

Whichever bank account you go for, you can update us with it in your account at a later date when you get something sorted!
