GCSE physics exam question

State the energy store of the gas that energy is being transferred from when the Bunsen burner is used. The answer is chemical energy store. Why is this? I thought it would be thermal energy store. Pls help. Thanks

Because fuel or a gas which is being burn't is always chemical (gas or oil) to thermal energy given out by the fire
