Does having a high IQ even mean anything?

So I was thinking of doing an IQ test in the summer because I feel it would be a good ego boost and I'm sure I would get a fairly 'good' score going off online tests and similar test. However, when considering it in further detail, I don't really see any other benefit except an ego boost and just for the sake of knowing. Its not like having a high IQ means you will make more money or improve work ethic. Maybe having a moderate IQ is a prerequisite for success but does having a 'high' IQ even mean anything? And anyone who does have a substantial IQ - have you had any tangible benefits from having this?

You get into MENSA and they give you brain drugs so you get telekinesis.

No not really apart from giving you an ego boost if you get a high score.
There’s so much more to someone than how smart they are.
