In response to a question:

A House of Lords judge said:

"Society is entitled and bound to protect itself against a cult of violence. Pleasure derived from the infliction of pain is an evil thing. Cruelty is uncivilised. I would answer the certified question in the negative and dismiss the appeals of the appellants against conviction."

To me, this is a clear indication of the law seeking to uphold and promote moral values. the case is R v Brown and other (1993).

can anyone help me how to introduce positivism, utilitarianism, natural law into this essay.

Read a book on them, or an article, or wikipedia lol

You really need to grasp their entire concept before you can chuck it in an essay.

The simplest way would be to get a dictionary meaning of what the words mean.
