Studying Law in the Netherlands Watch
QS is showing Maastricht better in terms of law but in general Groningen is better in rankings. Also it seems Groningen is an older university. Can Dutch Law students help me out should I choose Maastricht Law or Groningen Law ?
Also I was told that completing a Dutch taught minor in Dutch Law would qualify me to enter Dutch Bar Association and after passing certain exams I could qualify as a lawyer. This minor or shortened LLB taught in Dutch language will last for two years and I can complete this after completing my english taught LLB degree. Does anyone have any experience doing this? Has anybody ever took these courses especially in Maastricht or in Groningen? Is it an effective way to become a lawyer can I find a job after following this route?
I was also told that I need to do an LLM degree in the Netherlands. Does this LLM degree have to be in Dutch or can it be English for me to become a lawyer ?
I thank you already
