It was LOVE not nails that held Jesus to the cross.
That is why in John 3: 16, it says " For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten son"
The sinful thoughts = The crown of thorns were put on Him.
Sins we've done through our eyes = He was slapped, bruised and spat
on.
Sins we've done through our mouth = He drank bitter hyssop and
vinegar.
Sins we've done through our body = He was flogged many times.
Sins we've done through our hands = His arms were nailed to the cross.
The wrong paths we walked in = His feet was nailed to the cross.
Sins we've done in our heart = His side was pierced.
WHY..... BECAUSE HE LOVES US UNCONDITIONALLY.
He knew no sin and did no sin...... He was tempted like you and me but
still He overcame.

If you want to quote your book of fairytales and lies then that's fine, but two can play that game.
20 “When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. 21 But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged."
Exodus 20

I appreciate the Jesus love, I really do, but how am I supposed to value the life God has given me if I’m condemned in the Bible as an abomination?

Do you really believe in vicarious redemption through human sacrifice?
If my father had me tortured to death, to forgive other people for breaking rules that he'd made, I'd be pretty pissed, and quesiton his sanity. Your god is evil and stupid.

Hmmm but he's going to send people to hell for eternal torture. Kinda doesn't add up.
You believe that Jesus and God are the same person right? But the OT clearly tells us that this God killed millions of people. He levelled the entire Earth at one point, killing every man, woman, innocent child and animal. The same God killed all the Egyptian children, little lives who had no idea of God's anger or differences with Egyptian rulers. This same God sent bears to maul little children who were making fun of Elisha calling him baldy (2 Kings 2:23-25)
At some point you have to mature and apply rational thought to this kind of flawed reasoning. A god who is all-loving simply DOES NOT kill people and especially innocent children. We have been mislead by religion. The elders and controllers of religion are not telling us the true story.
Our logical reasoning tells us that what they teach simply can not be true.
This does not discount the existence of a god or other intelligent being. It simply serves to utterly refute the codswallop being pushed across the world by evil people to control the hearts and minds of vulnerable people. The Bible IS NOT a literal work. Do not imho read it thus and assume that what is written is plainly what is. The Bible contains great secrets hidden in plain sight, hidden allegorically, cryptically and in code. That's why the literal interpretation makes no sense and contradicts and logical reasoning.
Think again and be determined to find the truth rather than follow the herd.

Some say "God set man up to fall by putting the Tree of Knowledge in the garden of Eden", but in fact he showed his foreknowledge and provision. He set man up to rise from his sin, but man needs to listen:
Romans 5:31-14: "death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned ... even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who (or which) is the figure of him that was to come."
Adam's transgression was a resemblance, a prophetic picture
... of Jesus becoming sin for us ...
Adam (and Eve) ate of the fruit hanging off / affixed to the tree whereof God said "the day you eat thereof you shall surely die."
Galatians 3:13-14: "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree ... that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."
written in Deuteronomy 21:22-23:
"if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, .. you shall bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God ; that thy land be not defiled"
Jesus was condemned (falsely) of blasphemy, the punishment was death by stoning by all the congregation and the stranger (Lev. 24:16), but as they were under the Romans he had to die their way, which was crucifixion.
