why when rearrangng 0.4=8/Y you get y=20 ?
0.4 x 20 = 8 chick
Yes cuz 0.4Y = 8
8/0.4 = 20 therefore Y = 20
0.4=410=820=8y0.4 = \dfrac 4 {10} = \dfrac 8 {20} = \dfrac 8 y

So y=20y = 20

8/0.4 = 20 therefore Y = 20

its not 0.4Y = 8 its 0.4=8/Y

0.4 x 20 = 8 chick

y do u times it ?

It just proves that it’s the answer, obviously if you were to do it properly and fit it into the equation it would be 8/20 = 0.4

its not 0.4Y = 8 its 0.4=8/Y

not sure if troll or.

0.4=8/y
times both sides to eliminate y on RHS.
0.4y=8
how do you get from 0.4 to 1? yes, times by 2.5
1y=8x2.5
y=20

You start with 0.4 = 8/Y

Multiply both sides by Y to get Y(0.4) = 8

Divide both sides by 0.4 to isolate Y to get Y = 8/0.4

Plug 8/0.4 into a calculator and BHAHAWM. 20

why cant u just get rid of 8 by dividing 0,4 by 8

I multiplied both sides by Y

0.4=8/y
times both sides by y and you'll get 0.4y=8 (this should always be your first step when having something divided by something [multiply both sides by the denominator] as it makes it much easier to deal with)
and then you mean diving both sides by 8? in which you'll get
0.4y/8=8/8
0.05y=1
this is no use to us, as with algebra, you'll always, ideally want to get it in the form "y="
although, fromm here, you could times both sides by 20
x20: 1y=20 which gives the same answer

Excusez-moi s'il vous plaît M. Chatelier. Pourriez-vous m'expliquer vos découvertes en chimie? J'ai du mal à le comprendre, mais ça arrive à mon examen.
why is there a two page thread for:

y = 8/Y

lmao
