I'm trying gradually to stop looking so studenty (as I won't be one for much longer - sob!) and start dressing a bit more like a grown up - nothing too drastic, just the odd change here and there. One of the things I'd like to start doing is wearing proper shoes (rather than converse or pumps) on an everyday basis, rather than just when going out in the evening.

Anyway. I quite like these shoes. Think they'd go ok with jeans?

    mmm, hideous, yep!
i suppose they would be okay with jeans. but something black and wedge-free would be much nicer & more grown up

um, they're a bit on the ugly side
a low/mid heel is a good choice and something in a matt coloured leather is also more grown up, but I'm sorry to say that those shoes are horrid

however.... something along the lines of these might be ok http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/st...5227&langId=-1

I like the shoe but I don't like the colour. I've seen the shoe before and as far as I can remember it was on the website Schuh you can get that exact shoe in a nicer colour (plain brown I think) than the green-brown mix you have there.

I think they're hideous (since you asked) but I'm sure they'd be fine to wear with the usual denim jeans.
    ^ Agreed.

Theres grown up, and then theres foul. I think they fall into the latter category.

the OP likes the shoes so what's the point in saying the shoes are ugly. it's completely missing the point.
Personally I think they'd look as good as any other shoe with jeans. and I like the colour, think it'll go nicely with dark denim.

It's fine - I asked for people's opinions. I dare say you've all got a few things I wouldn't wear so I hardly expect people to agree with all the things I like.

Anyhoo, I'm not really decided on whether I like them or not. It's so hard to tell from the picture. Some shoes look good in pictures and then rubbish on, and vice versa.

I quite like them, actually They're a lot nicer than most of the shoes that Turbo posted, quite frankly.

The green will go nicely with a casual ensemble, and if there really is a brown version then they'd be better for a smarter outfit.

How are we missing the point when the title asks what we think of the shoes? :p:

well the question in the OP is 'Think they'd go ok with jeans?' so I figured the title was referring to that.

edit: i also agree with loopymeg that they're much nicer than others that were suggested. Personal style and all that.

^ That doesn't mean that the rest of her outfit will make her look old. Believe it or not, "old" styles can look really good with newer stuff - just ask Minimo!

I think they are taking looking grown up a step too far. They remind me of a 40 or 50 year old trying to look a bit cool.
I'm sure you can find something nicer which is more of a balance between young and frumpy.

I don't think they'd go with any sort of jeans to be honest.

With all due respect, the OP did ask 'what do you thinnk of these shoes' - which is open to both positive and negative opinion.

    I dislike them greatly.

Asos isn't working for me at the moment, but I think the OP's shoes are much nicer than either of those Topshop ones. And that's saying a lot, because I don't really like the OP's shoes either. But those Topshop lace up ones are foul. That's one style I really don't get.

I like the Office ones though.

    have to agree.

although i actually like the COLOUR, which most people seem to think is the problem, its the style i dont like.
