I have a feeling the 30 mark for paper 1 will be on policies effect on inequalities, or the impact of globalisation on education policy.
It might also be a class differences in achievement essay.
I also think the 20 mark methods in context will either be on documents, participant observation or unstructured interviews.
but hey, they're just predictions.

I would run out of things to say in a globalisation of education essay for 30 marks, not sure there is enough on it to merit that, probably inequality in policies.

That's what I said 3 days ago. Then I used another textbook and there was so much, Its on the spec and has never come up as a 30/20 marker before, literally every other topic has. I managed to write a 30 mark essay plan in about an hour and have been going through it since. It's a definite possibility.

Here is my essay plan:

P1: Globalisation --> increase in foreign ownership of education services.
EDEXCEL --> US company Pearson.
BUCKINGHAM AND SCANLON (2005)
On flipside, UK edu-businesses now working in other countries.
Private companies export education policy into foreign countries.

P2: Globalisation --> increase in competition in global economic market.
KELLY (2009)
GCSE/A2 harder and focus on economic objectives.
Teach skills and knowledge to contend with other countries in economic global society.

P3: Slimming down of national curriculum.
Ebacc
ALEXANDER (2012)
Globalisation --> international comparisons.
However... less focus on arts & humanities --> underachievement/disengagement.

P4: Globalisation --> Institutions increasingly being run like businesses.
BALL (2012)
Profit for universities <-- international students = higher fees.
Foreign students now a commodity.

P5: Globalisation --> Shift to Neo-liberalist perspective of education.
BALL
Neo-liberals - the state should not provide education services for country.
However... national governments still decide how to respond to globalisation.

My paper two predictions:

Please note, these are just predictions, don't bet your life savings on them.
Also it is much harder for A2 topics as there hasn't been as much questions on them yet, so I have based it on recent ten markers too.

Family and households:
20 marks - Child-centred, Divorce, Patriarchy, Policy+Patriarchy, Position of the elderly, family diversity.
10 marks - Marxism, Functionalism, structural perspectives of any kind, divorce, child-centred, policy+Patriarchy, Position of the elderly, domestic violence, power in relationships, distinction between childhood and adulthood blurring.

Religion and Beliefs:
20 marks - Any thing that's NOT to do with; science, rational thought and scientific explanation, NRMs, social change. I have a feeling it could be a perspective, but this is JUST A FEELING.
10 marks - The same as 20 marks.

Sorry Religion is so vague, it's hard to predict with so many topics and only a few past/specimen papers.

Those are the two topics I do, so their the only topics I can predict sorry.

Also, Thank you to everybody who has sent me kind messages, and good luck to all for Wednesday.

Paper 3 predictions will come after paper 2, I will do them as quick as I can.

I feel like functionalist view on crime is highly unlikely to come up as last years paper asked about functions on crime but there could be a possibility with aqa.
If anyone has any predictions for the theory section would help too?

Last year the question was on crime prevention (30) and the specimen paper had functionalism (30) so yes I'd say anything other than those two but I'm gonna risk it and not revise globalisation I hate it so much!
I hope labelling, crimes of the powerful and ethnicity come up or even right/left realists. Also it could be media and gender too, as these were rarely asked in the last spec...

Also for theory I've seen prediction for social action theories, postmodernism (now I doubt it will come up as we've already had two questions on it..) social policy and value freedom in research !
