Box junctions

When turning right at a box junction, day theres a car in front is also turning right, can we both wait in the box junction

You can only enter/wait in box junctions if you are blocked by oncoming traffic and your exit road is clear (so you won’t be stuck in the yellow box). Otherwise you need to wait before the yellow box, causing a congestion in yellow boxes is a big no no.

It should be okay for both cars to wait until they are no longer blocked by oncoming traffic, then they can both proceed to turn right once the traffic isn’t obstructing them (if they are already in the box, then you’d assume they entered on green and the traffic light change won’t apply to them).
