The Israeli representative is now being pathetic. He is well aware that no one is talking about ignoring sanctions. He is well aware that Iran has been referring to UN resolutions that Israel ignores. If he cannot explain his country's actions so be it. But he should not think that the members of this organisation are too stupid to notice his pathetic semantic wriggling.

China calls for calm on both Iran and Israel.

China wants to know if Israel would be willing to draw up a peace plan and a creation of a new Palestinian state.

Perhaps the representative from Iran could do the mediating on behalf of Palestine?

OOC: Might be a good HYP scenario to try and drawn up a new map in the Middle East. Only thought Iran could mediate as we don’t have a Palestine rep.

China believes the discussions will be friendly. However we believe the issue of Iran's uranium enrichment should be kept as a separate subject.

Then Israel would not like Iran to take part in the talks.

Iranian uranium enrichment is a threat to Israeli people, it is something we feel strongly about.

Then it seems the talks have failed again before they even started.

China will mediate the talks if both parties agree.

OOC: We still don't have anyone to represent Palastien.

Okay Israel wants peace so we propose another neutral party mediates the talks.
If Israel is allowed to veto which party may negotiate on behalf of the Palestinians then perhaps the Palestinians should be allowed to veto who may negotiate on behalf of Israel.

Iran is happy to discuss peace with Israel if she is willing to give peace a chance rather than torpedoing any chance of peace before it starts by insisting that she will only discuss peace with certain people rather than with those who want peace.

We never vetoed we just had a few issues that we would like to clear up.

Also we don't feel Iran is in a neutral position to mediate.

Israel has been fighting for peace since its birth, to say we have not we find insulting, rude and demeaning but then again its what we have come to expect from Iran.

And are we to suppose that America is in a neutral position to mediate? Or is it simply a matter of them being neutral in your favour?

As for "fighting for peace" I think this expression sums up Israel's attitude to peace [ooc][/ooc]

China proposes.

Israel and Iran (on behalf of Palestine) will draw up the map and discuss the new state of Palestine.

China will mediate between the two countries.

OCC: We don't have a delegate for Palestine. Therefore if we made this into a HYP thread either somebody could represent them for just the HYP thread or Iran could on there behalf.

The US being in a position of strength and has respect from both sides of the border.

The US gets a lot of bad press for taking the Israeli side but they criticized us for the recent settlement plans.

If all else fails then we result to force. [ooc][/ooc]

The US has little respect in Palestine. China has good diplomatic ties with both countries and would be a better suited mediator.

China actually recongnises the state of Palasteine and has good relations with Israel.

This has to be one of the most absurd statements I think I have ever read. Israel is a nation that was founded on nothing but terrorism and has continued its bloody ways since its inception. Israel should be looking up to Iran not criticising it. Iran does not build concentration camp style walls to imprison a population, Iran does not massacre civilians in refugee camps, Iran does not steal land from other countries and Iran does not invade neighbouring countries at will, anyone remember Israel's Lebanon adventure the other year? I suggest that you try to be a bit more diplomatic otherwise you will be as unpopular as your predecessor here in the MUN.

[ooc] I really do hope i was just making a thread for the sake of it, this place was way to quite.[ooc]

We do not massacre people in refugee camps, after million of Jews have been killed in camps during WW2 I find your point rude. The wall merely acted like a border.....stopping terrorists coming into Israel land and killing our people.

As for the Lebanese war....lets make a point clear.....Israel was merely out to dismantle Hezbollah.

As for looking up to Iran...it something which we never will do....stoning people to death for crimes instead of jail sentences, there constant questioning of the existence of the Holocaust, enriching uranium to make weapons.

Also who do you represent?
