the english one is jokes, you get given a booklet with about 16 different extracts in different media. then you are given a sheet with questions on it. one question is compulsory- that is a comparison one- you can pick you other option and it imcludes things like translate this extract into a different media.... they recommend you spend and hour planning and reading the extracts....it is quite fun though,...

Worth doing? I mean, I don't know if my school does them, but I can always ask.

    Entering an AEA:
Different schools have different procedures. You'll either have it structured in your school so you go ask your English teacher/Maths teacher etc. If they've never heard about it, then go to your exams officer to ask yourself to be entered. This has to be done before 21 Mar 2008 (and there is no 'late' deadline or anything allowed). AEAs are expensive, and are almost £40 for the school to pay. You may need to pay nothing (as I didn't have to last year!), pay a smaller fee, pay the standard fee, or pay extra - depends on the school.

Thank Michaelyus. I assume when you say 21 Mar 2008, that's for people doing their A Levels in 2008? I'm in AS now, just looking for info. Thanks
