The one where the ball slips past Rob Green and he leaps like a salmon to try and grab it before it rolls past the line, classic.

Was going to post that one.

I liked Suarez's second goal against England. Absolutely thumped it in.

No matter what match at what a world cup?

Currently, it is the last goal at a World Cup which was ever scored until now: Mario Götze in WC final 2014: nice touch of the ball, great shot against the goalkeeper's movements and so important and valuable for Germany's fourth victory!

That makes me proud as a German!

Yeah whatever match. Any World Cup goal.

Ronaldo's two goals vs Germany
The greatest individual comeback in football history.

Brazil's team goal in the 70's world cup was brilliant. Quick passing with stylish dummies, finished off by Carlos Alberto. Showed how brilliant Brazil was back then.

Very nice, one of the best goals of WC 2006. Reminds me of James' goal against Uruguay in round of last 16 four years ago. Possibly even the best goal of the last world cup.

Okay. Bergkamp's victory goal against Argentina was so amazing in 1998. It is a typical Bergkamp goal: full of ideas, technically brilliant, fast in realizing the situation on the pitch and so merciless in scoring.

Came in here to post that.

Continuing the Holland theme, I remember van Bronkhorst thumping one in from 40 yards in the 2010 tournament.

Guess you are talking about this one?

An impressive distang goal, without a doubt.

That was ridiculous. It was a mile over the line.

I love everything about this goal. The defensive header and then chase to win the ball again by Cannavaro. The perfect weight of pass by Gilardino. The desire to get there from Del Piero and the opening of the body and slotting the ball in the top corner. The significance of it wrapping up the game.

Magnificent from start to finish.

The goal in the 7-1 where the camera immediately switches to the Brazilian kid with glasses, crying into his cup of coke.

Pretty sure it was the fifth.

Never seen anything like that in football before and doubt I ever will again.

It was the fourth. Kroos's second. I had to go find it to see it again. ~30mins in of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jW5jobEpkk4&t=2020s

I went into the game really wanting Brazil to lose as they'd kicked Colombia off the park in the quarters. Nah, probably won't see it again. Combination of hammering and in a home world cup. Beautiful.

A great goal at the World Cup by a German Player.

Matthäus 1990 vs Yugoslavia

By the way anyone who has posted the most famous and brilliant goal in World Cup's history ever, the one scored by Maradona in 1986?
