Hey all.

I've got such a horrible cold at the mo. Watery eyes, blocked nose, cough, the lot. Can anyone tell me how I can help to get rid of it asap? Also how long roughly do they last for?

I had loads planned this weekend and can't really do any of it with this cold.

Thanks xx

Drink lots of water. Seriously...if your urine isn't perfectly clear, you're doing it wrong.

Inhale some vicks, go to sleep etc.

Lemsip ftw!

Plus I always inhale that Vicks stuff because usually I can never go to sleep.

I have the same. But I've got to admit, it's getting better. A little better all the time.

You can't get rid of a cold. You can do stuff to alleviate the symptoms though.

Lemsip flu+ capsules are great, and lemsip drinks before bed. Loads of water/squash/lucozade or something like that. Plenty sleep.

I've got a terrible cold as well, Nothing is working for me though. I'm taking these cold relief drugs, drinking loads of water and juice but its just getting worse. I have a uni interview on Tuesday that I really need to do well in.

Well, you can't get rid of a cold really. But i usually take a day off and completely relax. Do nothing all day. Use:
-Lemsip
-Vicks
-Olbas oil (stinks, but gets rid of your runny nose!)
-Vitamin C (Orange Juice)
-LOADS of water!
-Hot drinks!!

do not eat fast food, esepcially oily food it prolong the cold and enhances the soreness develping in the throat. When drinking water make sure its room temp or warm, not cold. that's very bad indeed.
