International Grad Student Advice
Hello all!
I'm from the states a will be starting my master course in the fall.
I've never visited England before, so needless to say, I am pretty nervous.
What are some things I should know/be aware of before starting my life in Leeds? What are some things you would recommend for new students to try?
I will be taking out a large loan to attend school here and would really like to make it worth while!
Any advice will be appreciated!

Nothing to be nervous about. Universities are pretty international and Leeds is a good city in which to be a student.
Make sure you have your visa and other documents for your course sorted. Passport.
Make sure you have sufficient money.
Make a list of things you would like to do and see. You have all summer to plan.
Travel plan of getting to Uni.
Sort out accommodation.
Pay fees.
Bring with you things that you cant get in the UK. You can get most things. Make a list.
Phone
Computer.
Bank account.
Then the normal list of uni stuff, but you can get that in the UK and people will suggest the best shops etc to get it cheap.
It is better if you ask specific questions and then people can give you advice.
