okay so i want some recommendations for books to read over the summer. i haven't read a book that wasn't for school for two years now and i miss sitting out in the sun with a good book.
so,

give me your summer books recs. they can be trashy, they can be serious, fiction or non-fiction, i want to read everything. in return, here are two recs from yours truly:
1) we have always lived in the castle by Shirley Jackson
2) the foxhole court by Nora Sakavic
happy reading!

Anything and everything by George Orwell. My personal favourites are Keep the Apidistra Flying, Homage to Catalonia, and Down and Out in Paris and London.

There’s also Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut, Last of The Gadrine by Mark Gatiss, if you like Doctor Who.
