Leadership & Duke Of Edinburgh Award.

What is the award? and what do you do & what is its worth?

The dofe award apparently looks good on applications and cvs, it consists of a period of time that you have to volunteer for, do a ‘skill’ for and a physical activity for and you then have to get something signed (each one for 3 months for bronze award). As well as this you have the expedition which is camping with multiple days of 10-13km walking with a massive bag (this is only the distance for bronze award).
I’m currently completing the last parts of my bronze award and I have quite enjoyed doing the different components however if you’re a busy person it could take up a lot of your time. If you wanted to do dofe to make your applications/ cvs look better then I’ve heard that bronze award doesn’t mean a lot since so many people do it but the silver and gold awards which are longer durations for every component, including camping and walking distance look very good.
