I wrote the wrong paper reference number on my English exam!!!!

Earlier this week I had my first English language paper and I accidentally wrote the wrong paper reference number because I couldn't hear the invigilator (I was at the back of the hall) so I looked at the paper and wrote it down but I wrote the one from the wrong piece of paper (I think the text booklet) so now I am panicking that my paper will be lost or something-am I being paranoid???
Best thing to do is call the school. I don't know if they still have the papers though but ring asap

I doubt they will have the papers still but I spoke to the head of English in my school and she said it shouldn't be a problem but I'm still worried- thanks for the advice anyway
The reference is probably only so they know what examinations relate to which exam board. You will be horribly unlucky if that code is the same as another language paper which since it is 10 digits it's extremely (I mean like 0.00000000000001%) unlikely you'd put a different exam on by accident

I'm pretty sure I put 99% of it right (apart from like the last 2 digits-i put 1a instead of -1)so I'm praying that they'll know what I mean and I hope that it's not the same as another paper. This has reassured me a bit now so thanks

Phew! I can't believe I was that stupid to write the most obvious thing wrong but I was so nervous to do the actual exam I forgot how to function lol exams are funnn
Let's be real, of all the students that have ever done such exams, it's very likely that thousands of students(accumulated over the years) have also made the same mistake. So don't worry as i'm almost certain that the examiners have thought this through; they'll know which paper you did. Also, all the exam papers for everyone else that did the exam with you are kept together, why would they separate them and look at each code individually?

I hope that made you feel any better  Don't stress yourself

Call your school RIGHT NOW. They might be able to change it before they are sent off. Otherwise you risk resitting.
