plants can only absorbs nitrates so they use nitrification to convert ammonia (not able to absorb this) into nitrates (they can absorb this). It does this by first converting ammonia into nitrites and then nitrates. Nitrification is also caused by specialized bacteria usually found in the soil with the plants.

anyone have any recommendations on what to look at?

In my opinion you shouldn't base what your revise off prediction just go through all of the paper 2 topic. This may sound like a lot but it would take about 2 hours only...
Here is a list of all the paper 2 topics: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho....php?t=4756660

Different cycles (eg, Nitrogen cycle or Carbon cycle), The heart, The Kidney (I recommend spending a while revising this, it requires a lot of detail and specific terms), Food productions (eg. Fish farms), Different types of sampling for data (Quadrats, Belt Transect), Selective Breeding and Genetic Modification, Respiration. There are plenty of things I think of off the top of my head.
