im a semi virgin and never had a girlfriend but was wonderin where am going wrong, im not bad looking and not fat but a bit insecure lol just wondered what things to say to strangers (girls) in clubs and what is likely to work just to get some confidence and strike a conversation really. im at uni in sept as well so just wondered what the do's and donts generally would be for the first few weeks for meeting many folks etc.... what do girls want in a boyfriend and what do people look for when making new friends, i think if im 2 nice it just puts people off.... should i be a dick on purpose sometimes to keep the balance right

Uhh I think it's awful you all just presume the OP is a troll. Maybe he's just a guy who got bullied who has low self-confidence, ever thought of that?? 
Well, now that the semi-virgin thing has been cleared up, I definitely don't think you should be a dick on purpose - it doesn't help to 'balance' anything, and it probably won't get the results you seem to be after. Also, picking up random girls in clubs is an option, but it doesn't seem to be the kind of thing you're after.
If you want a relationship, your best bet is to just talk to as many girls as you can (without jumping straight into a relationship, or sex or whatever), because that can gradually build up your confidence. Because at the moment that's what you need if what you really want is for a girl to take you seriously and go out with you.

I never initially notwithstanding the semi virgin bit but as soon as the butties in the bin came out, he was on my radar and he only exacerbated it by posting the other bit about them being subway sandwiches and a wispa bar getting binned as well.
