Do you really gain anything from going to a Russell group uni VS not going to one? Are there any specific benefits?
Eg. Loughborough uni VS Southampton (which is Russell group.)

Some sectors do place stock on the uni rank (law for example) - but it’s not all there is to a university.

It’s ideal for some to compete against each other and show how they’re the best and there is nothing wrong with that. Their purpose for university may be different to yours.

I needed the opportunity to get away and become a better person and my uni did that - it didn’t matter if it was Russel group or not.

But if I wanted to be a UK version of Harvey Spector (from ‘SUITS’) then yes, maybe I’d look to top ranking universities!

All about what you want

Kindest Regards,

Russel Group Students who feel different, I got a first-class degree at a non-Russel group and if you got below that grade - IM BETTER THAN YOU - FITE ME NOW

The above is meant as a joke.

It's about tiers, not about russell group vs not.

Loughborough and Soton are in the same general tier.
