How did you guys revise for the exam? Did you revise from previous mark schemes or from the book?

Also, do the great boundaries for UMS change each year, or is it standard (where a certain amount of marks equals the same UMS each year)? Because my teacher went through what marks the class needed to get As, but I do not understand how she can be so certain on that?

    Your take on the exam?
I learnt from the book so even though the 'other than' questions were annoying, due to having to know a lot about the 9 topics in depth, I did not think they were impossible. A lot of people in my class who used the mark schemes to revise over the book seemed to have struggled more with the exam. I do think that WJEC expected students to remember A LOT of detail about a range of subjects, which definitely threw me off in some questions.
    What about you?

I did use the book to gain some knowledge but I basically learnt the mark schemes. I didn't learn all of it, I learnt a few of the factors from each topic and the ones I did learn were the 'other than' ones.

If you learnt most of it I am sure you will be fine! Do you know about how it is marked? Is the mark to UMS set (the same each year) or does it change depending on how well students have done in the exam?

For a B, you need about 63 but last year you needed 56. The grade boundaries were pretty much similar between 2012-16. This year I think it will be similar to last year.
