hey all, i was thinking of going on an art foundation course either at leeds college of art and design, or brighton (it would be brighton and hove city college, brighton uni doesnt do foundation)
ive had an offer from leeds but am yet to be interviewed by brighton.. i havent visited the college (or the city ) yet!
leeds is a huge city, with an excellent nightlife, but on the other hand brighton is in the south, by the beach etc etc. im also thinking of the quality of the courses as well as the location.
i saw the nss( national student survey) few years ago, said the student satisfaction rate in brighton is quite high about 3.6, but leeds is the lowest 3.3. as worst as ual.
the troubles for leeds seems to be very academic and brighton is very professional in training designer.
and i like brighton, got interview there b4 and have offer. but not going due to i want to stay in manchester.
but on the other hand brighton is just a college whereas leeds is a proper HE institute, what difference does that make in terms of lifestlye etc? (any?)
got to clarify, i means the brighton uni and leeds uni(BA) not the college ( foundation) for all the NSS. since i think u want to move on from the related college/ uni.

does anyone have any advice on these two??
thanks much!
hello! i have the same dilemma- i am in cambridge at the momment living at home (i am seventeen) but applied to brighton as my boyfriend goes to sussex and i adore it there. i have been panicking now after the portfolio review!! i am desperate to go there now, have you heard from them? i am manically waiting for the post everyday! do you know how hard it is to get into etc? x x x x ps. advice wise- choose brighton, it is such a creative city with only a 45 minute train journey to london which is without a doubt the art capital of england. to visit galleries and gather inspiration i think brighton pips leeds to the post, plus what i love about brighton is it is like london but smaller and if you smile at people than they smile back!!
