Would be interesting to hear your predictions...

I think England will do alright in the group stages and will finish second behind Belgium with 2 wins and a loss.

England will be knocked out in the second round by Colombia.

Worse case scenario, we’ll draw all our games and finish 3rd in the group.

It happened in 2010, didn’t it?

    Anything can happen with England.

    How’s that possible?

Don’t we play 3 games in group stages?

    My money is on WDL

Second in the group, win the first KO match, then lose the second in some stupid, typically English manner.

    Nope.
Drew against USA and Algeria, and won against Slovenia...

    I rest my case.

If we end up 2nd in the group stages, we’ll likely face Colombia in the KOs... no chance.

So they didn't draw all their games and finish 3rd then.

    No, but they’re perfectly capable.

Tunisia and Panama will park their buses and play for the draw, or a lucky win.

    Quote me.

They will come 2nd to Belgium in the group and bottle the first match in the RO16. But what do you expect when your midfield consists of; Henderson, Dier and Jake Livermore, the 3 most boring players in football history playing against midfields like:
    Germany: Kroos, Muller, Goretska, Ozil
    Brazil: Casemiro, Fernandinho, Paulinho, Coutinho
Spain: Sergio Busquets, Isco, Thiago, David Silva, Iniesta
France: Kante, Blaise Matuidi, N'Zonzi, Pogba, Tolisso
    Belgium: De Bruyne, Dembele, Mertens

Not sure if you're having a brain fade or what but 7 points would be enough to go through, then beat Colombia probably and then lose the next knockout match.

That wasn't what you said though.

And so what if they do park the bus? England have more than enough firepower to score and get the win.

    Relax.

That wasn't the discussion. We are talking about having enough to score against Panama and Tunisia.

Going forward, England are one of the strongest teams in the competition anyway.

One world class striker who scored 40+ goals last season, two who scored 20+ and some very good youth as well.

I think you are trying too hard to be 'realistic'.

We had Kane going into the 2014 WC after a fantastic PL season... we saw him take corners when we were knocked out by Iceland

    Same ****, different year.
