Having completed my first year at a different institution, I am applying to another university (I asked them and they said applications are still opened until 30th June). I have to go through the whole ucas process again but wanted to know if in my personal statement I would have to mention anything about my current institution ?
Thanks in advance

The Uni Transfer FAQ should answer all your questions: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/sho....php?t=1781424

This is something which would be covered by your reference. You can still mention it if you like, but don't feel as though you need to write any more than a sentence or two.

Hi thanks,
Also do you know if admissions tutor would look at the grades I achieved in first year at my current uni on board and that can influence my application? For example I failed a module but I'm going to be retaking it in August.
(It is not really a transfer- it is starting an undergrad course again at another uni but the course is a bit similar)

They might be interested but if you are starting again (and haven’t been happy) then one failed module usually won’t hurt your chances.
