One of the chefs on Ready, Steady, Cook just said that only people in the midlands eat roe and chips.Ive not heard that before, in all fairness its not something I'd think of.
Do you eat roe and chips and are you from the Midlands? lol
I used to work in a chippie, just outside London. We had people want roe maybe once or twice a week, it's really not that popular. You wouldn't think so, but it's really yum!
I am from Birmingham. I was amazed when I went to a fish and chip shop outside the Midlands to discover that this wasn't a perfectly normal thing to eat! You can also buy it in Weston-super-Mare but that is because it is full of Brummies!

Battered roe is ****ing lovely though and has more flavour than a battered fish.
