I messed up - GCSEs

I just wanted to ask if most unis only look at your top 8 (or 7? Or 9?) subjects at GCSE (ofc including eng lit/Lang and maths)
I’ve just finished my GCSEs and I completely messed up spanish. I honestly think I’ve got a c in it, was in tears! Also I’m scared I have a B in history..

The rest I’m pretty sure I have mostly A*/9/8s in and maybe a few A/7s

Just asking bc I want to apply to a russel group uni for law xx

Chin up! It's over for now, at the time after the exam, it may seem worse than you actually even due to this stress.

You says you've got mostly A*s/8s/9s, this would be more than enough for many many Russell group unis, one C in spanish in the worst case scenario will not hold you back at all.

honestly don't worry you get told GCSEs are the most important exams of your life, unis barely look at them. If you mess up one of your GCSEs you're absolutely fine, you could get into oxbridge with those GCSE results and some decent A-level results.
