Just bought my first car but haven’t passed my test yet

I’ve bought my first car and am awaiting a call from the garage to let me know they’ve completed the MOT and will be delivering the car to me. However my driving test isn’t for another three weeks. What do I do tax and insurance wise - do I still do all this even though the car is not being used? (I don’t plan on practicing in it?) Sorry if this all comes across as daft but I know nothing about any of this!

I have a driveway. I do have a garage but it would require a lot of clearing out for what will (hopefully) be a short space of time to keep it in.

You will need to SORN it on the governments website to say you’re not using it and then get road tax when you start using it. It will need to stay on your driveway at least then, you will literally have to pay for road tax even if it just sits on the road unused.
