And with that company its the same situation low pay good experience. But with camp america you pay something like £590 all together and that includes flights, food an acomadation then lowest u get paid is 800 us. I was just wondering how much is it with key camps . way up my options ?

Hey buddy

I've went through Camp America my past two summers and am heading back with them for summer 2014. I've found them to always be really friendly and helpful. They're also the oldest summer camp recruitment agency out there so they really know what they're doing. If you've got any questions about them feel free to send me a wee message.

uniform is something like:

2 shirts
3 t-shirts
1 trousers
2 shorts
1 jacket
1 fleece
1 hat

Take as much or as little as you want. However remember the training is in Holland and yoour campsite is in France so you've gotta be able to travel with all your gear.

Do we do our training in Holland before we go or while we are there? And do we pay for it or do they? I have just applied to be a courier for Eurocamp 🙋

You'll all get picked up in a coach and taken to Holland on your first day. Training there is 3 days I believe and at the end of it they'll tell you which sites you're going to. You then travel directly to the site. You get paid for the training.

No worries. I did do it almost 8 years ago now though so things may have changed.

- Yeah i enjoyed the people and interacting with the customers alot. If it hadnt have been for all the cleaning it would have been amazing

- My job role was campsite courier (the most common). Which basically means 60% cleaning/preparing accomodation and 40% customer services (dealing with complaints, paperwork, visiting etc)

- Only take 1 bag which you can move pretty easily. Your uniform comes in a seperate bag which they give you. I had to travel on 2 trains, 2 coaches and accross the Paris underground to get to my campsite so you have to be able to carry all your stuff quickly and easily!

- Everyone was very friendly. When you're all living in tents together for 3 months your eally get to know eachother. I was sharing my tent with 2 amazing hot ladies

- It was very hard work, make no mistake. You're literally working from 8am - 6/7pm everyday. If you're on duty then you may have to stay at the reception as late as 11pm. And of corse customers can come and find you at any time. The cleaning is particularly hard and very boring!

Overall it was great, i absoloutly loved it... but I'd never do it again! It's one of those things you do once and then never again :P

Hey,

I recently applied for holiday courier and got through to do an online assessment, but not sure what to expect, what kind of questions do they ask?

Probably examples of when you've given good customer service, or overcome a challenging situation etc.

Thanks, do you know what kind of things I might be asked at the interview?

My interview focused mostly around how well I'd cope with living in a tent in another country. Obviously they don't want to go through the effort and cost of training and transporting someone abroad for them to just get home sick in the first week.

Also things like how you'd motivate yourself to keep going when it was raining or the customers were getting agitated etc.

This was almost 10 years ago though!

Hi, I'm only just applying now and was wondering if i was too late if i want to start in April?

Does anyone know if you get the job, do you start straight away from the date you said you're available from on the online application or is there a few days after (for Eurocamp) ?
Others have said they tell you when and where really close to the time, so you might find out literally a week before they fly you out! How long did you wait to hear back after your online test?

I can't really remember haha a few days I think
Okay thanks, good luck with with wherever you end up!

I've literally just submitted my application for Eurocamp, but after living in Italy in my gap year, I really want to be in France! Does anyone know if you get to prioritise a country? I'm also applied for Carisma, who specialise in French camp sites

If you have an interview they will ask you for any preferences and why, but they're not guaranteed
