Just about all Halls, both reputable private and "on campus" have shared lounge/kitchen and ensuite, however nowhere provides parking for students. If you need a car then your best bet is leaving it in one of the sidestreets of a residential zone, however this is normally 10-15min walk from halls and some areas are not too pleasant to leave a car.

Why are you getting a job in Sleaford anyway? I could think of much better things to be doing with my weekends than travelling 20 miles each way for some part time work.

The halls in student village have car parking spaces, but these are in sparse supply and are usually reserved for the disabled.

You don't really need a car in Lincoln anyway.

Student halls provide parking, but its £600 for a year permit  Best bet is do what the rest of us have done and park in the housing estate opposite Morrisons, or along one of the side roads off the high street, and just check on it every now and again.

yeah, thats the best bet.

everyone that i know that does that hasn't had a problem yet.

ok, if your go to pavs theres a patch of dirt/grass everyone parks cars for free and dont get in trouble and theres a place round teh industial by pavs to think thats your best option

worrying! I have a nice car for getting up and down the A1!

Just google earthed the area lol

i take it campus way is student village? i counted 16 parking spaces without disabled badges lol.

But then there's also a car park under the brayford way bridge thing? The one's to the left (the student village side) dont look like they are in spaces. I take it that is the uni car park, christ its small lol.

some things dont seem to be build yet on google earth, i dont know what year the map is

i guess that is pavillions? if its the one next to some kind of astroturf hockey pitch...? so cant work out parking for that!!

dont know where junxion is, i typed that into google earth and it showed me a "junction" either that is what it is next to or google things i am *******

and what is this £600 thing dougy mentioned?
Reply 7
Junxion has no car parking.

pavillions has a small car park, but think thats more for staff than students and then has the road down the side that traffic ppl come down and clamp an occasionaly car.

Student village has a few small car parks but you can only park there between 6am to 3am the next morning on weekends. unless you pay 600 for the parking space. check with the uni though.

If i was you i'd park it down a residential street. enough ppl walking around lincoln 4 it not to get stolen

got any names of streets i can google earth, lol that its ok to park on, you sure they dont have residents only signs, thats a bugger and a half in all towns/cities these days

looking on google there is a lot of near by fields... why cant they turn one into a car park ffs, lol

Nope the universtiy doesn't have any "residents only" parking spaces unless you pay for it which again is about £600...

can't think of the road name but it you can find morrisons on there accross the main road there is another dead end road that i parked on. thats good because you can see it from the main road and there is generally someone walking around there too.

oh so you have a car and park there? thats alright then
Reply 11
i have my car up there occasionally, but normally just leave it at home as i kept just going for a drive about and with petrol costs wasn't the best thing to do lol!

But yeah you can see the road on from the main road if you get me, and theres always police driving around checking on drunk students wondering around and other cars driving about, alot of my mates park there and have never had a problem with there cars.
I think one or two offer parking, they charge extortionate prices for it because they can. But theres quite a few places round lincoln where you can park for free without needing a permit!
* Edit - I was going to mention one but I had momentary amnesia! On newland, next to the back of the brayford quay theres a little like office (I think) and you can park on their driveway at night as they never lock it up!
