Missing out on my offer by one grade Watch

I firmed a conditional offer from Birmingham of AAB in my subjects; Maths, PE and ICT. I have already achieved a B in my PE and an A* in ICT, meaning I need to get an A in maths to meet the offer. However, I messed up one of the papers and now will probably only get a B. So, I'm just wondering what are my chances of getting into the uni with A*BB instead of AAB. Technically, it balances out but I want to know if this is likely to be enough or will they completely reject me?

In theory, they should still accept you with a slightly lower grade as unis are more lenient when you have your results. Also, you may still get that A so, even though it's hard, try not to worry about it as the exam's done now and there's nothing more you can do. IF it helps you might be able to email the uni's admissions service to ask or UCAS?

Are you tempted to change your firm university choice now or on A-level results day?
