Medicine vs Banking

I can’t decide what I want to do between the two. I need to decide ASAP because I would need to change my A levels (I’m at the end of y11) . Could anyone brief me on some cons of Banking? I’m pretty well informed on the cons of medicine.
I like medicine but you get paid such a relatively small salary compared to how many hours you work and how much training you need to do in advance.

Hours
If you want to earn that dosh real quick go for banking
Pick the A-Levels for medicine + maths

that gives you the option of doing medicine or banking.
If you want to do what's best for you = banking.

If you want to do what's best for the world = medicine.

The A levels I’ve picked are maths, biology, chemistry and physics. Wouldn’t I need to change one to economics and maybe another to further maths?

Not further maths, no.

But maybe economics.

I'd go with maths, biology, chemistry, econ.

But no big deal if you can't take econ. Most econ courses don't ask for a-level economics, just maths.

That gives you another year to decide between medicine and banking.

Get some healthcare work experience to help you decide.

Oh ok- I have until 29th of August to decide whether I want to change subjects which is also after I find out my GCSE results which will probably influence my decision. Thank you for your suggestion!

I have some medical work experience planned for this summer
Do what you think you would love !

Think about how interesting a life in Banking / Medicine will be, and how you would enjoy it.
Don't choose one because some other person suggested it or is doing it.

Both are difficult paths, with long hours and difficult training. Choose wisely, and you'll head for success!

Are you sure that medicine would result in a lower salary than banking?

Over the course of your career it would most likely be the case.

It’s not preferable, econ A-Level won’t give you any advantage at all...
