Hi @Kiwi9012

I know it's a couple of years off for you yet, but we offer a 3 year BSc (Hons) Air Transport with Helicopter Pilot Training degree that may be of interest to you.

Currently in order to complete this course you'd need A Levels or BTECs along with your Maths and English GCSE grade C or above. We don't specify particular subjects that you need to have taken for your level 3's, but something like Maths or Physics may be beneficial for you.

As part of the course you'll complete your pilot licence with our training partner Heli Air. You'll study key modules in instrument rating, radio navigation, meteorology and operational procedures. You'll also cover broader areas of air transport such as finance, economics, airport operations and airline management.

I should let you know though that there are additional costs payable on top of your standard tuition fees for the course - this would cover the pilot training element and would not be covered by your student loan.

More information about the course and the additional costs can be found on our website. I'd also definitely recommend coming to an open day if you can, as this is a pretty specialist course!

If you'd like more information about the course please let me know! Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
