Hi there!
I was just wondering what books/biographies i should read to get a wider idea of the sort of topics and more in depth-knowledge on those historic situations in the A-level, before i begin in September?
I think that i will be doing both components:
1. The making of a Superpower: USA, 1865-1975
2. The making of Modern Britain, 1951-2007
Thanks!

I do Britain 1951-2007 and we were told a good book to read is ‘the history of modern Britain’ by Andrew Marr. It’s quite big and I haven’t read it myself yet but i’ve watched a few of his documentaries and really recommend!

Get the relevant book and revision guides to your course and read them
And for wider learning, watch some documentaries about it
