Effective Revision Techniques for Maths

I am a Year 8 Student so I have a few years until GCSEs but can anyone give me a few revision tips for maths.

The best way to practise mathematics is to do mathematics - work through problems and go over the areas that you have difficult with.
do past papers and use math watch, I wouldn't bother revising for maths until year 10 because your spefication will definitely change

Thanks. But I'm currently revising for my maths end of year test which will be in a few weeks.
