Do you find that going to the cinema has replaced watching TV?

I don't get people that watch TV. The internet allows us to be more social than ever before and I barely use Netflix even because I have so much to do even when I'm not actually with my friends.

I do however go to the cinema with my friends and family. I actually notice that going to the cinema has overtaken television watching, though I do watch internet stuff more. TV had mostly been background noise too.z
To you maybe but less and less people are going to the cinema due to over pricing and the rise of online streaming services

To me cinema was never a thing about watching the latest though. It's either about socialising (really, getting to a person's house is harder than a cinema for me) or about tech (big screen, IMAX or quality sound).

You can watch shows on a big screen from the comfort of your home, no need to get dressed, no makeup, no effort how can anything replace that?

Streaming will kill cinemas eventually

I mean, I'm quite young am I? I only go to the cinema for social occasions of if it's for the IMAX. I don't really care about watching movies because I spend most of my time chatting to friends or messing about.

Haven't been to a cinema in 2 years, and before that it was about 10 years. Ha.

You must be one irritating little shite for everyone else in there.

It's dark in a cinema. The one place you can dress like a slob. Why would you get dressed up?

Where on earth did you get that idea? I've been to the cinema about twice in the past five years and don't know anyone who goes to the cinema regularly.

Are you talking about for you or are you claiming in general?

The complete opposite, I never go anymore. A large high quality tv costs next to nothing plus all the on demand streaming services that are very cheap, plus being able to pause and go for a piss if I need to, plus not having to deal with loud yutes interrupting.
pretty sure its the other way around

You won't be in the dark on your way to/from the cinema or in the lobby.

both TV and cinema are rather boring especially now that I know most actors in Hollywood engage in abuse or helped abusers hush it up. sports are more fun.

I go to the cinema often, watching movies at home on a 20 inch screen just doesn't quite have same effect!
my tv service is pretty ****- there's nothing on there that interests me now. i watch movies at the cinema more regularly than my television:sadnod:
I go to the cinema after school/work/uni with friends usually because it's like a social occasion, maybe because there's a little complex near me with a bowling alley and various arcades etc... and it's across the road from a sports centre with swimming pool too.
