Who voted for Brexit.

The UK will be a proud sovereign nation once more, fiercely protecting its own interests at home and overseas.

Japan and Israel are two countries that I admire greatly, and I hope that we draw influence from both of those nations when developing our long term plan.

Who else here is proud to have played their part in this monumental history changing event?

Fine. Just don't complain when jobs start to disappear.

What the world needs is more mixing of people from different backgrounds and cultures, not less. Brexit is a retrograde step that will harm the UK and its current trading partners. The UK has a long history of being exposed to other cultures, which I think it's is all the richer for. Brexit will dampen that.

Given your username, I would have expected a little more awareness of the xenophobia and racism behind some of the the Brexit vote.

At some point I expect that many Brexit supporters will realise that they were duped with promises of what Brexit would change. None of us actually know what Brexit will mean in concrete terms, and won't for a good time yet.

Why?

The people don’t want it and it’s been shown to make people less happy and reduce societal trust- plus the economic benefits are minimal and only benefit the cream of society.

Evidence?

Isolation allows intolerance and hatred to thrive. In some cases, it has led to far worse, e.g. Auschwitz.

Evidence?
Read Bowling alone, a landmark study in societal trust- this has been replicated in numerous studies.

Also ‘the strange death of europe’ - immigration is among the top 3 if not too concerned. throughout the West for the last few decade if so

A) So because of the actions of Germany almost a century ago (who we fought a war with) we should have open borders?

B) Israel notably doesn’t apply the same standards, I fail to see why we should.

Amen Brother.

I am hoping for a Hard Brexit- It is the only way to implement the brexit which the people voted for, being shackled to the Customs Union and Single Market will mean that the fishing quota will remain in place and we can not benefit from one of our biggest resources and the flow of people coming into the country will continue, growth across Europe is almost stagnant, We have nothing to lose by threatening to walk away from the negotation table, we purchase more from the EU than they purchase from us, meaning we are one of their biggest customers threatening to walk away would have a huge impact and may tip the negotiation back into our favour.

Also when we joined the single market in 1973 it was constitutionally void, in instances where your constitution changes or there is a transfer of powers a referendum or election must be held prior to implementation, Heath used parliaments sovereignty to force it through. The politicians back then knew exactly what the EU was going to become secret document FCO/1048 outlines everything they predicted in the 1970's which was quite accurate, they slapped the official secrets act hoping it was too late 30 years later when people knew politicians lied to us about it.

I don't want to see foreigners ....I want to see people's faces and british culture. I want Britain to be safe from such lunatics . The people have spoken .
Well, about half of those that voted were against Brexit.

How do you know if someone is a foreigner? You don't get a tattoo on your forehead when you become a citizen.

Not seeing foreigners is a bit of an issue for the NHS. It's fine as long as you don't want to see doctors or nurses too.

We need to invest into our own kids . My two are both doctors and both worked damned hard to achieve this . It can be done .
Don't pretend or suggest that we have to import everything from abroad because you'd be wrong . The NHS is poorly run and under invested in equal measure but is still infinitely better than anything else out there ...so be proud of it instead of all the negative **** .

It was an example that we should not forget. There are plenty of others.

Israel's approch is not one to follow, IMO. Integration within the region would produce a lot less conflict, IMO.

After Brexit we have the ability to have full control over our Immigration system- we can grant Visa's to people with the skills we need like doctors, nurses .etc.

The argument that the NHS relies solely on foreign doctors/ nurses was a problem of our own creation when the coalition government put up tuition fees considering Doctors do 7 years of studying it doesn't look an attractive proposition to Young British people he you are have £60,000 + debt- I know that it's done after certain thresholds but it is still off putting.

EU Immigration contributes to 10% of Doctors in the NHS- a lot of NHS staff come from India- the ones who are children of first generation immigrants are counted within the British count- The EU immigration isn't all or nothing its choosing quality over quantity.

People aren't complete stupid they know who is foreign and who isn't- part of it is do they speak fluent English if the answer is no then you can pretty much say they are not English, interpreting on the race of the the person also gives an indication- but that is "racial profiling" so i do not wish to comment any further on this one.

Why will jobs disappear

To think that there will be no sort of trade arrangement is stupid, I say this as a hard brexiteer because the EU need us more than we need them- we import more from the EU than what we sell to the EU so playing hardball they will just lose our trade and we will purchase stuff from elsewhere. Project Fear said that we was going to get a flash recession that never happened- they said that foreign investment would stall, even though it appears to be increasing the FTSE companies would have more shares purchased in them from foreign investors due to the conversion rate decreasing- It is all a massive storm in a teacup, Brexit is a long term project not a quick fix the mainstream elite only wish to give negative connotations
