biochemistry vs chemistry

Which would be better for someone who wants to work in pharmaceuticals, or medical research and stuff like that?

I would say Biochemistry since it has a lot of chemistry but with a biological focus too. Chemistry is also a great degree, maybe more cerebral - particularly if you like maths, and will open plenty of doors.
