I want to Computer science so I need AAA. Do I continue with Maths, chem, comp Sci, or maths, chem, comp Sci and physics? Also which of the next 2 potential grades would you consider is better? Please pick 1 from each row 1)A*AA or AAAA 2)A*A*A or AAAA

Three is enough. Do what Khyber Ninja said and if you want a life, don't do four.
I'm already in yr 12 and about to go into yr 13. So it's a bit late to repack. But We've still been entered for AS and I got 4As in them. Also I mean like for you personally which one would think is better for option 1?

If you really enjoy your subjects then continue with them. I continued with 4 A levels in year 13 and it was great. A*AA and A*A*A but depends on what uni u apply to

Thank you. I really do enjoy my subjects but I find physics is really time consuming compared to the others. I feel like it would hold me back in the others hence why I'm asking A*AA or AAAA. I do really love physics so I'm in 2 minds. I would be applying to mid tier unis like Durham, Lancaster and maybe Manchester

I'd say Durham is quite high tier xD. But remember you only need 3 subjects as opposed to 4 and even if u take 4 a levels in year 13 you're offers will probably only be in 3 of them. I remember I got 3 A level offers from Warwick, Durham and Bristol but 4 A Level offers from Imperial and Cambridge so it just depends.

If further Maths isn't available, I would do maths, physics and either comp Sci or chemistry. I wouldn't bother with 4 A Levels

I haven't really researched many unis yet. What would you consider to be mid tier unis?

Durham University is one of the best in the country. You need A*AA to study Computer Science there by the way.

Oh I know of a few yr 13 who have gone onto Durham with offers as low as AAB for Computer science so I just thought it maybe wasn't very good. Will they actually give that off though considering what they've done in the past?

A*AA is probably their typical offer. Did your friends do a summer school for assisted entry or anything? I would contact Durham and ask them about typical offers.
Everyone I know who did 4 regretted it, one in particular in my Further class got completely overwhelmed and blew his Oxford and Imperial offers. You should do 3. There is, in my opinion, no reason to do 4 other than vanity.

Nether of them completed a summer school or had assisted entry. I think I'll contact them about how may people typically get that offer. Mayne they lower the offer for those doing further maths
