Is a 5 In English Lit and a 8 in Maths and Chemistry any good please?

I want to know if a 5 is a disaster and if an 8 in Maths and Chemistry is worth anything nowadays, thank you.

8 for maths and chem is amazing. the 5 is a pass however you could've done better.

If you're more interested in mathsy subjects then an 8 in chem and maths can get you vv far in terms of college applications and even uni. I think it's an amazing grade. I'm a applying for chemistry next year and most unis only require a 6 in maths. A 5 is a pass however it's still only about a C grade so not that amazing, but okay nonetheless. If you do get a 5 don't beat yourself up about it though, especially if you're not interested in that subject
