Southampton Solent vs Plymouth Watch
Student life, in partnership with UEA
Overall, as a University, Plymouth is higher in the rankings. However, I believe Solent may be higher for Maritime Business (please check this - I'm not 100% certain). Southampton is closer to London, and Plymouth is closer to tourist seasides (like big beaches)! Both have great shopping malls: Plymouth has Drake Circus, and Southampton has West Quay (which is more high-end). In my opinion, Plymouth University offers nicer accommodation, however both have lots of private accommodation providers around (if that's something you'd be interested in, rather than halls). Both Universities are located relatively near the center of their cities.
