A summary is kind of like a brief outline of something e.g Harry Potter was a wizard who went to Hogwarts. He had two best friends and together they defeated his enemy Voldemort.
A synthesis is when you combine two things to create a whole thing
e.g J.K Rowling displays the synthesis of intellect and emotion in Harry Potter
(Sorry for the examples, it was all I could think of)

Thank you Lau2en _,
I'm studing for the English Language and Literature test.
In the component 2 of the exam I have to compare two texts with similar subjects but wrote in differents century (19/21) and than I have to write a paragraph summaring the differences.

I think I have before to find the differences and after to connect the sentences using the synthesis to write a summary.
Is it right?
