Broken hinge on laptop - how much might a repair cost?

I don't want to take it in to a repair shop just yet because I don't want to f*ck up the hinge even more just to get a quote. Anyone at all had this problem happen to them?

If you're wondering about the huge keyboard in the foreground, the laptop keyboard is broken for a very very complicated reason.

It isnt altogether clear. Jave you asked on the support forums or places like hexus.net.

Theres also no problem with you e-mailing the pic [multiple] into the repair shops. Cant see whether it looks like a part or it is the whole case that can need replacing.

You will also need to tell the make and model.

Probably more than the laptop's actually worth, if they're even willing to repair it when the keyboard is already broken- I doubt any repair service is going to fix only one broken element of a laptop and return it to you with the other part still broken. Unless it's a particularly expensive laptop (which I'm guessing not if it's still running Windows 7 and you didn't get the keyboard fixed when that broke), I would get saving for a new one while you wait for this one to inevitably die.
