There are a whole host of avid readers on here, so I thought it would be interesting to see how many books we all own! To make it interesting, split it out into paper books and e-books, and we'll see which is most popular

So, how many regular books do you own? And how many e-books?

Not very many anymore, as over the last few years I have made a number of large donations.

Physical: ~200 almost exclusively non-fiction.

E-book: ~1500 almost exclusively fiction.

I have a loose plan to donate the majority of my physical books in the medium future too.

Too many to count, for physical even though they are technically countable . I did have a nook ereader but I think I only had a couple of ebooks on there.

About 600 physical.

Ebooks (well, pdfs), probably about 80 - all work related.

Just counted them - 190 physical (no space still growing) though a few could do with donating because they're duplicates.🤓

I would estimate at around 400 physical books, and 250 kindle, though I haven't verified either exactly

At least 10 ebooks and probably at least 20-25ish paper books.

180 on my kindle.
250 or so physical.

I am not counting graphic novels.

Almost all are non-fiction btw, I rarely read fiction.

Oh, most of them I've never read.

Considering all the books I got in children ages and was making for children, the magazines and the books I got for free, over 200. Maybe over 300.

To the people who have said numbers in the hundreds - how many of them have you read?

More than hundred and certainly over two-hundred (magazines included), and I still do. I was used to read books since my childhood. If I also count children's books (some of them even exist in my collection!), it is over three-hundred.

I own about 3,000 real books and 400 Kindle books.

I have read or referred to (as appropriate) pretty well all the real books and have read about a quarter of those on the Kindle, which is what I use for almost all my reading now.

Literally 0. Reading is boring AF. Actually right now I'm listening to Stalingrad by Antony Beevor audiobook. This is the only book I've 'read' in the past maybe 3 years that wasn't in school.

Never counted, but they fill 5x floor to ceiling bookshelf units in my home study.

I don't do e-books.

A LOT of books, only a few ebooks.

My eyes get bad if I stare at a screen too long, I did go through a time where I had a lot of ebooks but with it hurting my eyes after a while, I stopped. I only own 2 ebooks on my phone now.
